Awakening

Awakening with Ian

Shaktipat, Kundalini and the exploration of consciousness.

Some people come to Shaktipat after years of meditation. Others are curious about an unusual experience, a period of personal change, or questions about consciousness that they haven't been able to answer through reading alone.

Ian hosts live transmissions where people can explore these questions through direct experience, together.

What Is Shaktipat?

In Hindu spiritual traditions, Shaktipat refers to the transmission of spiritual energy from a teacher to another person. It is associated with Kundalini, traditionally understood as a spiritual energy connected with awakening and changes in consciousness.

Ian shares Shaktipat through energetic transmission. Participants are invited to sit comfortably and receive, without needing to recite a mantra, perform a sequence of exercises or reach a particular meditative state.

These ideas come from spiritual traditions and Ian's own understanding. They are not claims of medically established effects.

During a Live Gathering

A typical Zoom gathering begins with a short welcome and introduction, followed by around 50 minutes of transmission. Ian may bring attention to an energy center, such as the heart or crown chakra, as part of the experience.

Some people notice tingling, warmth, emotions, movement or a sense of quiet. Others notice little in the moment. There is no required response and no way you need to describe it afterward.

The final half hour is optional time for questions, sharing or simply listening. The full gathering is usually about 90 minutes.

Why People Return

For some, these gatherings become part of an existing spiritual practice. Others value having regular time for reflection and the chance to speak with people who are exploring similar questions.

You are welcome to attend quietly and decide what, if anything, feels meaningful to you. The experience belongs to you.

A Note on Supermind

Ian also draws on the idea of Supermind in the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo. Aurobindo used the term in describing a more unified form of consciousness beyond the divisions of ordinary thought.

It's part of the spiritual context Ian explores, but studying the philosophy isn't a prerequisite for joining a transmission.
